


David van Beveren is Founder and President of Vegan Hacktivists. In 2019, he created the organization to address gaps in technology & data for the animal protection movement. Since founding, VH has supported over 200 organizations with its services. Prior to Vegan Hacktivists, David ran a software company for K-12 and higher education institutions across the U.S. David is passionate about technology and capacity building. In his spare time, he enjoys reading, watching anime, and playing handpan.

James Morgan is the Executive Director of Vegan Hacktivists. Previously, he served as Director of Operations, where he led operational improvements, managed seed-funding grant proposals, and directed a team building no-cost websites for emerging nonprofits. With over a decade of experience in product management and business process optimization at major UK tech firms, James brings a practical, systems-thinking approach to nonprofit growth. He has been vegan since 2014, driven by a deep compassion for animals and a belief in empowering grassroots movements. Outside of work, James enjoys swimming, world cinema, and exploring new cultures through travel.



Kate joined VH in 2021, and since then, she has been transforming the way VH looks at design. In 2024, she and David co-founded Violet Studios, VH's design-centric sister organization. Kate has created countless brands over the years for small businesses, nonprofits, tech firms, and government programs. Proficient in branding, web design, illustration, and print, she loves working in a variety of styles. Her favorite part of being a designer is meeting others who are equally passionate about what they do and bringing their visions to life! Beyond design, she enjoys cooking, gardening, and playing tabletop board games.

Michael Webermann is the Strategic Initiatives Lead at Vegan Hacktivists. His previous animal advocacy experience includes serving as Executive Director for both Farm Animal Rights Movement (FARM) and ProVeg International U.S., as well as co-founding the Animal & Vegan Advocacy (AVA) Summit. Michael has conducted extensive grassroots activism to fight animal exploitation, climate change, and wars of aggression, among other social justice causes. Most recently, he served as a Regional Organizer on progressive political campaigns in the United States before returning to the nonprofit sector. In his personal time, he enjoys everything about music (dancing, listening, performing), cooking, and sometimes just being a goofball.



Gabrielė combines her expertise with a drive for building capacity in communications and social media. As the Communications Director at Vegan Hacktivists, she leads the organization’s content strategy, oversees messaging and social media, and ensures all content aligns with VH’s mission. She also helps organizations develop impactful social media strategies by equipping them with the knowledge and skills they need to succeed. With experience in campaigns that heavily relied on mobilizing public support, Gabrielė knows firsthand the importance of creating clear, engaging messages that resonate with audiences. In her free time, she enjoys exploring art galleries, going to the gym, and discovering anything angel-related in art and architecture.

Joaquín Triñanes is a software engineer at Vegan Hacktivists. He currently works at a sustainability company, empowering organizations and institutions to track and reduce the impact they have on the environment via data visualization tools. As a Team Lead at VH, he built and oversaw the development of the organization’s new website. Now, as Senior Developer on the core team, he dedicates his time to building and launching flagship projects. In his free time, he is juggling getting a PhD, working out, and enforcing stricter type safety in whatever project he's got his hands on.



Vikram Singh is a product specialist, with a focus on UX and user research. He combines these skills as a Product Manager at Vegan Hacktivists to ensure that products and services created by the team are useful, usable, and impactful. He has been vegan for four years, and is passionate about using all of his skills to further veganism and animal rights. He has been strengthening his skills in this field for 12 years, and has a previous career as a communications specialist. In his day job, Vikram works as Head of Design at Lightful, managing a team of four at an organization that creates products and services for nonprofits.

Tobias Frohme is a Team Lead at Vegan Hacktivists, where he and his team are responsible for the organization’s website, veganhacktivists.org. Tobias works as a software developer, and has years of experience as a system integrator and manager of e-sport communities. In these roles, he has planned and implemented a variety of business applications, including project management systems, analysis platforms, and webshops. In his free time, you can find him active in various German vegan communities and struggling with 3D modeling.



Jérémy Touati is a senior backend web developer with 15 years of work experience. After going vegan in 2020, he joined Vegan Hacktivists in early 2021 as a developer and shortly became a Team Lead thereafter. His team mainly contributes to the development and maintenance of Activist Hub, a social network and outreach dashboard for activists. Prior to VH, he led the software development team of a growing telecom services company based in France, his home country. Jérémy enjoys reading, gaming, meditating, and spending hours in online arguments speaking up for the animals. He wishes to dedicate the rest of his life to helping the movement.

Nick van Verlaten is a Team Lead at Vegan Hacktivists where he founded and oversees Animal Rights Advocates, a Discord server and community consisting of over 22,000 members. The purpose of ARA is to empower vegan youth to become effective advocates for animals, while also supporting those interested in transitioning to a plant-based diet. Nick was raised in The Netherlands and Brazil, speaks four languages, and currently studies medicine in Argentina.
